Introduction - Central Texas

Greetings, BP!

My name is Joshua, and I am a newly licensed REALTOR in Central Texas (Austin, Round Rock, Cedar Park, and all the other nearby places that are growing like crazy). I'm also a first-time investor.

After spending a few years saving and studying, I determined that investment properties were my best option for financial freedom. I purchased my first home 3 years ago for a whopping $40k. It's currently my primary residence that I've been renovating, and will (hopefully) soon become my first rental property. It's been a great learning experience with several healthy headaches, but I'm definitely ready to make a move into a larger home with central AC as Texas temps break the 100's way too often.

On the profession side, I spent the past 7 and a half years in insurance, and in mid-2017, I began saving up for the jump to real estate so I could immerse myself in the industry (and hopefully pick up a few good deals along the way). I'm also hoping for the opportunity to help out fellow investors so I can gain some of their insight and learn along side them as they develop their portfolios. Also, their business would help me be able to eat something other than ramen for a change.

I haven't really seen many meetups around here, but I might also be looking in the wrong places. If anyone knows of any, I'd like to hear about them.

And lastly, if there are any fellow agents out here, I'd appreciate any insight you're willing to offer.

Thanks for stopping by,

Joshua

*Edit - I had to make a quick edit to make sure I didn't break any of the rules. If anything is in violation, I apologize in advance, and will make any necessary edits.
