one thing I have heard about the keyless locks is that those with the servo that slides the bolt back are subject to battery drain and when the battery gets low, the lock will not open since there is not enough power to slide the bolt.So, Joel Owens you might check that out for your mom -- would hate for her to get locked out due to battery drain (granted they should still open with the key...) -- just throwing that out there.

You may want to consider a spring/fall schedule to better prepare for the major changes in seasons (air filter replacement, cleaning gutters, pruning trees, changing smoke detector batteries, etc.)

They are WiFi enabled battery backup and locked and unlocked with a smart phone.

Before you make any big life decisions maybe take a leave of absence from work for 2 or 3 months and recharge your batteries. 

Establish what their responsibility is: ie. smoke detector batteries, light bulbs, flipping breakers, etc.

KC just nabbed a 4,000 job Panasonic battery plan in the metro that will be built in coming years.

****Frugal - the landlord that orders supplies (like furnace filters or batteries for smoke alarms) in bulk to get a price savings. 

I have failed an inspection because the tenant didn't keep the drip pans clean.You might try and make them responsible for testing and replacing smoke detector batteries also, but not sure if that one would hold up.AC filters are normal for any property.

Change the batteries on Daylight Savings so you remember when it was last done.
