I know there is a casino in Murphy and not that far from Blue Ridge and even Bryson City. 

The casino, steel stacks, and other establishments in the area have brought out of town money which has seen some good shops and places to eat pop up.

. - The Area is right near downtown Detroit, which has MGM Casino, a bunch of businesses that are attracting young professionals whom would rather rent than own, the river walk, Belle Isle (anyone from Detroit understands Belle Isle’s significance), and the bridge to Canada. - The neighborhood doesn’t look too bad, but it is Detroit.

If you wonder into the Wynn casino shopping area and stop in the Brioni store you can find some nice alligator bomber jackets.

I don't know the area very in depth, but I do know they're building a casino to the southwest of the city right now.

It's actually in a pretty good geographical location: next to Camden Yards (Orioles baseball), M&T Stadium (Ravens football), and now Horseshoe Casino.

Charlotte proper is getting a lot stiffer competition right now so I would suggest Rock Hill, Gastonia, Concord, Mooresville and with the casino coming - Kings Mountain - to start looking at alternative areas.

Not sure which Casino you work for, but there are multi-family deals in Elgin and Joliet that could work.
