People who are losing everything in their life and have nothing left, totally destroy their house by pouring cement into the plumbing, cutting off electric wires, destroying walls, roof etc.

I see people with gloves on in the middle cement with a drill, or have masks on sanding down the ceiling plaster, or on a ladder with a paint roller...shouldn't be stopping to get their phones. 

Also the cement board siding and trim boards are improperly installed.

I have an rental apartment to renovate in the boston area and wanted to know roughly what labor costs (including rough materials like cement boards etc., but not including appliances, cabinetry etc. ) should cost for: 1)) a typical sized kitchen remodel (assuming demo of existing cabinets, and installation of new kitchen cabinets, floor tiles, backsplash and appliances). 2) new bathroom (gut previous bathroom, install new tub, new vanity, new tiling etc.

For a pier and beam it would depend on if it only needs metal shims or cement footers.  

I've already picked up the cement board.

As a DIY guy I've bought thousands worth over the years in as needed only ever rented jack hammer, cement saw and gas-powered hole auger (big ticket rarely used things)
