I'd suggest using complete sentences and taking the time to give a scenario with at least minimal details.

I would say that things could change drastically as early as the first sentence in paragraph #2.

IMO, they should not be mentioned together in the same sentence.

I called dozens of them yesterday, only for them to be either unavailable or for the phone to be hung up on me (even in mid-sentence!)

I am for sure going to make sure that I use this in a sentence today (won't be that challenging in my case to find a good applicable context).

Now that I write that last sentence out I realize some might consider that a form of networking, but I guess the point is I feel like I'm letting someone else do the networking work for me.
