Hire the plumbing trademens (either work for themselves or a plumbing shop), electricians, drywall/spacklers, flooring, painter, hvac, ktichen/bath, etc. 

I'm also curious how much it costs to prepare the land and install plumbing, electricity, and concrete (driveway, walkways, patios).I'd love all the insights I can get from anyone that has experience doing this.

A 3rd floor addition will not only have structural modifications, but also require mechanical, electrical and plumbing permits.

Overhead door location and height, width and depth of space, bathroom locations and electrical and plumbing rough-ins etc.

We can look at the bones and have a few contractors we use - roofers, HVAC, electrical and plumbing - that we can call if we are serious about a property.

The thing about it its that its airport is domestic only but it is about to change as Volaris has announced upcoming direct flights to and from LA.

In my experience, relying solely on pictures can be outright misleading, they do not provide insights into the internal structures or the condition of the roof, plumbing, and wiring to say the least.

Updating plumbing, electrical, etc. is not as expensive as most folks think, especially in smaller homes that are abundant in the Detroit market.You also have the budget to do BRRRR's in a market like Detroit, but please don't try and go that route on your own.
