I would let them know you are looking for a referral of a solid tax practitioner that handles US Canada Cross Border specifically for smaller real estate investors. 

And if you are confident in your abilities, as a layman, to perform your own dental work by all means go ahead.

A general practitioner takes 4 years medical training, a brain surgeon twelve.
