It is very time consuming to allocate overhead costs such as automobile, cell phone, etc. to each property.

At least you’re taking action and not just reading tons of books and consuming podcasts.

We don’t have basements, or foundation issues, the tile roofs last “forever” so there’s almost no reason.

Its slow and super time consuming, but I have had more success talking to actual leads and locking up contracts. 

And the death-song has been the moment any accountability crops up for such a consumerism, the laser focus of protecting the consumer economy means blame Blame BLAME someone, something ANYTHING else for the falter because we "need" the consumerism...... 

That won't go away, but it won't keep it propped up forever.

After the initial set up, I go to my STR before the busy season to take inventory of linens and consumables like soap etc, replace or repair linens or small items, touch up paint, and get my eyes on the property to make sure everything is in good repair. 

It will take forever and look like someone with no hands did the work. 

I understand how if you aren't really paying attention that you'd think "this can't go on forever."
