In my experience the 203k loan is there for politicians to pretend they're helping hurting communities and to make contractors rich.

I’ve had multiple interactions with other wholesalers pretending to be cash buyers and ask for property details and then don’t hear back from them until they have someone interested in buying the property.

Of course he’s unjustified in his approach, but if he really rented for a long time and was otherwise a good tenant, he’s just indignant to have gotten hit up for a simple expense like that.Not saying his pretend gangsterism is OK, of course—I’d be perplexed if I were in your shoes too!

What we worried about was a bait-and-switch dynamic, where you start with a low price assuming that everything with the house is perfect, then pretend to be surprised when it isn't.

., I know how that song goes too, the "pretend interest" just to be able to put you on a list, I dislike that practice and always make sure that I am sending something if and only if I have double checked to make sure most of the criteria matches up with notes given.

That makes me think they are trying to pretend they are actually going to live there but are going to end up renting the whole place out under your nose.  

Or can you just "leave it empty" (aka, not rent it out), and kind of "pretend" you live there, but not physically actually live there. 

Again, I'm not pretending to be an expert so I'm not sure if that's how all of the tax and/or sheriff sales are or if it's just a local thing.
