Most months do not require any action from me so I find paying someone to help assist is not worth it.However for others who are maybe inexperienced in acting as a landlord or would rather not deal with the stress of finding tenants, calling trades or don't have the time etc. it would be a worthwhile expense.

Some general info on insuring the property:Here are some things to look for from an Insurance prospective:1.Any in-ground tanks (active or inactive)2.Any Knob & Tube or Aluminum Wiring3.If built before 1978, does the building have Lead Safe certifications4.Any wood stoves or secondary heating units.

BTW - Good place to look for tired landlords/distressed rental properties is on an absentee list or an inactive rental license list if your city/town has one.
