Be creative here - could you add something trendy?

Of the top of your head:  1) what Indianapolis neighborhoods are best for someone who wants an older home with character in a well-established area that's within walking distance to lots of trendy shops, restaurants, gallaries etc.?  

After being one of the early adopters of grey paint I’m moving away from it as it has become too trendy.

Also make sure the repairs/upgrades are not too trendy.

As minimalism and home officing have been trendy lately, would the overall resale be impacted up or down as bonus office, or lack of storage?

If you are rocking a spiffy, clean, and trendy $1,000 (or even $1,250) per month rental it can fly off the shelves. 

I want to sway away from the hot areas and the super trendy cities.

., a house in Montrose will be 3x the price of the same one in 3rd ward, while getting less than 2x the rent.The same factors that make cash flow hard in San Diego, LA, SF, etc, are the same factors that make cash flow hard in hip/trendy areas of Houston.So if you're buying for cash flow, don't. 

There are very desirable, trendy neighborhoods, that people are fighting to live in.
