Again, there are differences by company but in general, term policies pay significantly more up front (a 20 year term can pay anywhere from 80-140% of the first year premium to the agent with zero commission after the first year) while a whole life policy generally pays less up front (50-90% of first year premium) but usually includes residuals of 1-2% of any premiums paid for as long as the policy stays in force.This is already a long post so I'll stop here but feel free to PM me with any other questions.

Boiler system is adding baseboard radiators with pex line would be my first guess More than likely it had enough residual heat from above to keep it above freezing and so pipes wouldn't freeze before.

I am out priced here in San Diego and I refuse to put down a 100k down payment on a house until it comes residually from all my rentals.I currently have 60k to put down on a house with an extra 13k for cushion; or if needed to buy down points or do a small Reno. 45k from my 401k, 15k from my grandpa, and 13k personal savings.
