We in Australia are suffering now from your sub-prime meltdown and it is starting to cause a lot of pain, but from what I read not quite as much as in your country.As property investors we are conflicted aren't we?

We have been in a recessioin since the 80's and have never returned due to plant closings.

Now if you want to be fancy you can also get a desalination plant to pull water from the ocean, but those are still quite expensive, energy hogs, and not needed unless you have some serious water demands.
