@Joaquin Camarasa That's right, it works like any other business where you can deduct all the costs first. 

So depending on what your investment goals are and what type of properties (Class A through C/D) and where in the city you want to buy, that can directly impact the level of stability one can find within the market here. 

So I ended up using 0% interest business credit cards which I liquidated to purchase and renovate my property (total credit limit of about $95k total).

First of all, do not take any money out of the business, because you will need it.

My goal is to grow this business by expanding my investor network and seeking properties that will allow for additional scalability.

Appreciation can be found in many submarkets throughout both Charlotte and RDU, but it really depends on what you're looking for.

It will be highly dependent on the district and licensing.

Depending on if you want to use any of the equity from your home to find retirement or if you want that all to be put into the house may also change your strategy.
