The film industry is very popular in New Orleans and most, if not all, furniture stores offer short term lease options for their floor model furniture.

If her lease was up, she removed all her furniture and everything from unit, I would have considered that she moved out.

Also, curious to know after purchasing if you spend money on theming and furniture updates etc are those able to be written off without an LLC?

@Joe S.If you are looking for someone to purchase furniture, supplies, keyless lock, and set that up for you...then you might be able to ask your cleaner, handyman, or combination of both.If you are looking to determine if a home in a given market will make a good STR....I like to do that research myself.

We spent almost $18,000 in appliances, flatscreens, bed frames, mattresses , furniture, supplies  etc.

How about replacing furniture, appliances and supplies for tenants - are these deductible expenses?

When furnishing our MTR, we did not go crazy with the decorations or furniture; we furnished the 2/1 for around $5,000.
