Some states have reciprocity that reduces some of the requirements for obtaining licenses in that state, but each state has their own list of reciprocity states.

There is reciprocal licensing from various states, not sure in this moment if CA is a part of that, but if it is you just have to pass the state law exam portion only and then you have a license here
