I’ve ventured into the desert over the last couple years.

I have family in Lucerne Valley and have been considering the high desert area as a place to start purchasing a multifamily.

It is a bit of a retail desert at the moment but we're hoping that changes in the next few years.With the addition of Oracle just a few minutes away the Montopolis area is a very convenient location for their employees to settle down as that campus reaches its capacity.The community right across from the new milestone development is quite a bit older and I think there is an opportunity there for investors as well as north on Montopolis (that's where you'll find lots of beat up properties with BRRR potential)

Here in the desert, lots of flippers just throw rock in the front yard and leave the backyard a hot mess whether it be dirt or dead grass and patches of dirt.

Its nice to see someone from up in the high desert.

But the desert its a no brainer.I am going to see about putting one on a big spec I am doing in Charleston.. to get the show started.

She was getting fired up about the incredible information being shared, as we were in the middle of buying a vacation rental in Palm Desert, CA.

It is high desert.

Also looking at the deals up here in the high Desert I see only a few Duplexes, Triplex, and Fourplexes.

However here are some suggestions:Partner with an experienced flipper where you provide some of the money and they teach you what they know.Buy a duplex or sfr and house hackBuy a duplex/sfr in a lower priced area (inland empire high desert) and rent it out.Good luck
