I grew up in small town Midwest and I️ didn’t even realize the recession was going on.

I listened to the biggerpockets and flipnerd podcasts you did and it was inspiring to hear how you started and grew your business! 

I'm currently looking at a triplex in the same area that I am investing (Central valley of CA where I grew up, currently work as a Trauma nurse in the Bay Area of San Francisco and there no way I'm investing up here). 

I just grew impatient and jumped the gun. 

I grew up in LA but have been away for a long time.

I grew up in Columbia, SC, but moved to San Diego about 10 years ago right after college. 

I grew up on the east side, went to high school on the west side.

I live and work in Salem, Oregon now but I grew up in Silsbee, Texas and graduated from Lamar University in 1995.

I grew up in Newport News, but I'm always curious about other's perspective. 

I would say, focus on a market you know, out of state and multiple states might not be a good idea when you are just a beginner unless you choose the market you used to live, go to college, grew up, etc, a market you know.Play the devil's advocate game with a friend that's an investor and you should be able to find what you are comfortable doing.
