Im the director/ founder of Veteran Foundation Echo , and no its not BS, if the land can be developed, then the $15k over value is justifiable, our foundation has recieved land donations, 68 acres in California, our foundation has more land donations to be considered in Florida, legally $15k over asking price for land that can be developed is legally justifiable as well as the limit in the state of Florida.

If you want deduction, you have to donate the property.Or if you want to deduct the use of the property, it can be set up via trust.

At this point I'm not sure what to do and where to go for help getting the school district to obey the law.The organization in the article linked above, Californians for Homeownership (a nonprofit sponsored by the California Association of Realtors), didn't respond until they noticed I had made a donation, at which point their lawyer, in my opinion, nastily and totally blew me off and refunded my donation.

My initial inclination was to just give notice that anything in the general area as of a certain day would be tossed/donated but I'm now thinking there might be a better way to address the issue.I'm considering building additional and/or larger storage spaces and giving the tenants the opportunity to rent them for a monthly fee.

On this first property I just did non-toxic paint, called ecos throughout, tried to pick low-voc adhesives etc. refinished existing floors, used some materials that my dad had left over from commercial projects, and went to a place called Community Warehouse downtown, which has a lot of excess building materials that have been donated.
