Full time happens with 100+ units and often you see people scale a business on the side, like PM, construction or something unrelated like a resort in Costa Rica ;-) I am no different - I "retired" from my corporate career in 2015 and quickly realized that I can only watch so much daytime TV. 

My career has been completely remote to @Toby Johnston's point for much higher wages than local companies can pay.

.- I would have roughly 35-40 hours a week available to dedicate to progressing my real estate journey.For me, the big appeal of being an investor in syndication deals is that it is not as time intensive as other real estate ventures, so I can focus more time into progressing my career in video production and growing my income there.

Glad to hear REIAs played an important role in your career also, as in mine.  

They are completely different but related fields.

Alongside my studies, I am deeply interested in starting a career in real estate.

I’m guessing the loan approval from them was “too easy”......financing for a casino operation I would think would require some decent experience in the field, maybe your management company contract would help in this, maybe not.  

If you look outside city limits make sure you do some research on the septic system, your lot size, if you even have room for a backup field , the ability to replace septic is becoming a real issue statewide.
