@David PetersenI actually have some skills as a contractor (I have run tractors & excavators, been an electrician and plumber and done a lot of random side jobs) so that might be the way for me to go! 

I have numerous battery power tools that were below 12V rating and converted them to corded by attaching them to lawn tractor batteries.

Here is a story for you, I have a tractor trailer rig to pull my race car and hotrods places, a CHP inspector told me that 90% of the people from his country that drive trucks come to America buy a simitruck and drive with no licence!

But don’t worry with the shortage of co tractors you will still have more work than you can handle 😎 

What ever you lend on as collateral, you need to understand the market for that collateral, be it machinery, farm tractors, cars or real estate.

I'd also think someone running a diesel engine such as a tractor for farm use only would be interested in buying the fuel. 

Then we came in with a tractor and bush hog and mowed down years of growth , it looked much better .

How did they arrive, on foot, by bike, bus, cab, truck, motorcycle or tractor-trailer?

Even a farmer on a good year would go broke if he could not deduct the cost of fuel or his $200K tractor. 

It helps having a welder, skid steer, 16' trailer, dump truck, and 2 agricultural tractors.
