I am interested in buying a house that is about a mile away from the nearest neighbor or store, but can drive to supermarkets, etc., and is near the lake if possible, with land for an organic garden.

Family, friends, acquaintances, church, hobby groups, social media folks, mail man/woman, dry cleaners, dentist, doctor, people you see frequently at the local soda shop or supermarket, people you see on the train/bus, etc.

There's a local supermarket in town that is vacant--right smack near downtown, high school and the college.

You still have to drive from home to work, the supermarket etc and vice versa.

I agree with Chris wholeheartedly, besides, when you buy a product, mark the price up without changing the product you basically have the business plan of every major supermarket in the country.

Since I live there, I know that Tulum badly needs certain commercial projects, and as it usually happens, the first to come will take away the biggest profit share.Luxury condo buildings and villas are still in huge demand, but so are big commercial supermarkets, a hospital and other types of buildings.If you are considering this type of investment, drop me a line.
