My friend has an old Coca Cola machine with the original compressor still running from the 50's, so refrigeration systems can have a very long life.

But what ppl don't realize is that it takes a boatload of energy to take cold water and turn it hot in a flash, the equivalent of 9 AC compressors running on a hot day.This is why it's critical to have proper, expensive installation, b/c you're really taxing the electricity of the house.I'm in Miami, and quality electricians are in short supply.

I'd just go basic on the heating/air unit and have someone pick you up a decent commercial unit (something that would be installed at apts like Concord brand) at Washer Specialites near downtown or one of the supply houses in town or someone who can even sell you a used compressor for outside, and all new stuff inside etc. 

One of my rentals (in the Tampa area) recently had a compressor go out on the AC unit.  

If you get one get a inverter one it changes the speed of compressor to use less power.

We purchased a home warranty to handle some of the repairs (i.e. compressor in a/c unit), but others were handled by the contractor because they were from the work he did.

Is that central air that needs to be replaced, a new compressor?

Although they have a good compressor warranty they need it..

If you can get an air compressor....they sell plug kits do you can plug the pipes in the other kitchen, and the vent stack if it is between you and the clog, and blow it iut with sir b
