I am a travel nurse but have been saving up to start REI in the Milwaukee area (where my husband and I plan to eventually settle down).

I know a lot of people target the travel nurse demographic, but there are also a lot of patients that come for long-term treatments and need housing.Does anyone have experience catering to this demographic, and what are your thoughts on making the house ADA compliant? 

I would say to only invest overseas if you enjoy the actual travel to that destination.

I'm planning to grow it into other areas of real estate investing.Outside of real estate, I enjoy spending time with my three teenagers, traveling, and binge watching Netflix series.

The tenant's are moving out this summer and I'll be looking for new tenants, however, I'd like to rent out my unit to mid-term tenants while I'm away traveling for months at a time.

That is what insurance is for, so we definitely tell them to contact the travel insurance provider.  99% do not get it, but it gives you the opportunity to put it back on them.

Some great spots to check out, Slabtown condos - only a few come with STR but great spot and popular for travel nurses in the winter.

Consider leaving NYC if you are unhappy with the demanding hours.NYC has a tough work culture - I lived in NYC for 35 years of my life and I been traveling for the past 3 years as a Nomad.People work less hours and are happier in other areas of the world.
