With proper planning gift tax can be avoided through use of the annual exclusion ($15,000 per person, per recipient in 2018, first increase in 5 years).There most likely will be tax consequences if you sell after receiving the gift depending on the original basis (purchase price) of the donor.

What is the best way to transfer accumulated wealth to desired recipients (spouse, children, family and charities) to maximize the amount transferred, minimize the cost of that transfer (and planning) and perhaps minimizing taxes.Lots of people make no plans and Uncle Sam (and sometimes the state) end up being a major beneficiary of this wealth.

For example, a Medicaid recipient's primary residence is exempt from Medicaid eligibility and can be gifted away without detriment and without regard to the look back.

Brian:I do like the idea of providing transactional funding and have done it one occasion - the recipient was not a wholesaler, but a rehabber who got over ambitious on his commitments and could not swing everything in his pipeline ... but keeping his reputation untarnished was worth the cost of bridge funding.The issue I see is that I would not extend funds to most of the wholesalers with whom I have had contact for many of the reasons illustrated above: they simply do not have their act together sufficiently to give confidence the monies would be repaid.

As for share your credit it is perfectly safe as the recipients of these AU trade lines do not know your name or ssn or account number and have no access to an actual credit card to make purchases.

Effective Wednesday, October 15, 2013, the Telephone Consumer Protection Act passed a new rule that states any company that sends SMS marketing messages (texts to your cell phone) without prior written consent from recipients could potentially face fines of up to $1,500 per text".Some years ago, I think it was 2005, when it became illegal to send unsolicited faxes to someone, I knew of a young kid that bought a bunch of Efax numbers and sat in his basement and wait for all kinds of junk faxes coming through them, then complained and received $500 for each page that he received.
