I have family that lives in the Gues Cottages near Ocean Annies, as the cost of ownership is low they don't seem to have the ability to cash flow. 

If I do get multiple HELOCs do I run the risk of having issues getting loans because of DTI or something else.Just making sure I am not leading myself into a trap trying to get some more cheese.

My father owns a small 2 lbs 1 bath cottage on the Branford River. 

I've closed on two properties in 2022:- Two unit property: main house 4/2 + separate cottage 1/1. 

So I am really thinking about buying some land and not trying to go all out with finding financing for a cottage/cabin and dealing with all that.

If 40 year old me could sit down and have a conversation with 18 year old me the best advice I could offer would be to take significant action as early as possible.I would read three books in order, Who Moved My Cheese by Spencer Johnson, Make your Bed by Admiral William McRaven and Set For Life by Scott Trench.
