When he said it's the exhaust fan, I assume he means the little fan that clears the vent of combustible gases before the ignition kicks on the burners.

As far as a phone number on your bandit signs for motivated sellers, I use a Google voice number or you could get a burner number.

So if you take this route the cost is minimalUntil that sludge clogs the burner fuel apertures ... then you have the expense to get the system cleaned.

@Rob BelandThis is all I found:16) Delete sub-section 10.12.2 and replace it with the following:10.12.2 Prohibited AppliancesThe following equipment shall be prohibited:(a) gas range ovens, broilers, or top burners for space heating purposes;(b) gas ranges with match-lit ovens;(c) any commercial cooking range without a listed oven safety pilot; and(d) appliances not in compliance with the statutory requirements of M.G.L. c. 148, §25E.It came from here: http://www.mass.gov/ocabr/licensee/dpl-boards/pl/r...I have always believed the intent was to take these out of circulation when they fail, though I can't for the life of me find where it says they cannot be repaired.

I also suggest stopping short of building a full kitchen but rather put in a kitchenette with a counter top convection oven and a 1 or 2 burner cook top.

Ask yourself this; would you like your "tenant" to come knocking on your door during a Easter or Christmas dinner to tell you they're toilet is backed up, heater isn't working, hot water doesn't come, burner on stove is out, etc?

I'm afraid that I wont be able to make the deal happen in two years if my money is tied up in another deal somehow or someway.My wife and I could use the two years to save up for a massive reserve fund(for both properties) for ease of mind in those two years.I also don't want to wait 2 long years and feel like I'm putting my "goals" on the back burner...Thoughts?
