Massachusetts laws on installation & repair of gas on gas stoves

Is anybody on here aware of any recent changes to MA laws/building code that made it illegal to buy/sell or repair gas on gas stoves? I was told (I believe) that it was no longer legal to even repair them. Also, if a used one is found, is it legal for a licensed contractor to connect it? Thanks all...

@Rob Beland I only know of any appliances with standing pilots must be replaced. That has been illegal for over 20 years. I'm not aware of any newer laws regarding them. I do know that, even as a GC, I was never allowed to connect a gas nipple. I was required to hire a plumber to do it.
