Over the last few days, the Treasury yield curve has slightly inverted for the first time in about a decade.

The Fed accomplished this by buying an enormous amount of treasury bonds, driving down yields, and corporations chased those yields by issuing huge amounts of their own bonds, packaged them as corporate backed securites, and then pumped that borrowed money into their own stocks.

To put it into context treasury rates are in the 2-3% range so 5.76 is nothing to  sneeze at.

Under Treasury Regulations Section 1.266-1(b)(1), only expenses that would otherwise be tax deductible may be capitalized using the election."

I closed on last week at 4.75% I pay a spread over treasury (there is a cap, just not sure what it was on this deal).

The buyer *just* came back requesting that the interest rate be lowered to 5% and started talking about how the Treasury rate went down yada yada yada... 

Their actions have caused the short term interest rates, the 2yr Treasury Yield, to sneak up to long term interest rates, 10 year Treasury Yield. 3 weeks ago the 2yr note surpassed the 3yr and 5yr notes effectively causing what's known as a partial yield curve inversion.

Stock Market, Gold, Real Estate, Commodities, Treasuries doesn't matter to me.

I'm trying to avoid shelling out big bucks on an attorney.Do I need to register with Treasury?
