It's my belief if you only have a couple rentals it can be more risky should you have a bad tenant, or major problem with the property.  

Luck is discounted because of the belief it is not subject to our control.  

Since then I have been on here reading the forums and listening to podcasts religiously trying to retain as much information as possible. 

As I've been lurking the forums for nearly a year and listening to the podcasts religiously, I figured it was time to make an introduction.  

i have considered it and talked with her about it but she is unwilling  because she has a FIRM belief that money, business and family dont and shouldnt mix.

I was introduced to the industry several years ago, however my belief level and mindset was way off.

It's my belief that, until the 2 largest areas of industry and population make a concerted effort to diversify their economies, you will not see the type of growth possible for those 2 markets.And...I was named after my grandmother, but she was from Texas!

My wife is the one that watches the show near-religiously.

You need to start from somewhere - have some capital, have lots of time and a will to hustle, have the right tools to know how to put deals together (read BP religiously!)
