The cost varies from place to place but I've seen anywhere between $50-100/month, and it’s a solid investment to keep your personal home address private.Second, consider having your lawyer act as your registered agent.

I think you need to discuss the foreclosure problem with the lawyer that's handling your suit for specific performance.

A lot of people suggest not paying off your mortgages if you own a lot of properties because if someone decides to sue for whatever reason, their lawyer will see all that equity in your properties and try to take it.

Per the original issue, circling back to confirm that I connected with a lawyer I've used before and they suggested to just issue a standard termination of month to month tenancy which requires 30 days.

@Johnny Braddock   Typically renting a room while you live there isn't going to violate this as someone would have to have an issue with it and report it but I am not a lawyer.

It is mostly used in the highest priced large city markets.If doing this as a TIC, this is very much a specialty that few lawyers have experience.
