If the cabinets are in good shape under the grime, give them a really good cleaning and then have the doors sprayed the colour of your choice to freshen them up and add new hardware. 

Problems:1) The sheetrock guy sprayed texture all over the stairs because he didn't cover them.

I hang out with the hose “watering” then accidentally spray them when they walk out and try to get in their car.

As soon as the contractor sprayed it, the bees came out and died.

I told them to clean and told them to spray for bugs themselves.They never really got the place clean and the bug problem never disappeared. 

I would hire a professional to bomb or spray the building.  

Just an FYI, the house was absolutely destroyed... holes in walls, broken floor boards, spray paint on the walls.

You are spraying frebreeze on  it and thinking that it will be ok.
