Or is it possible to just attend meet ups and network to eventually immerse yourself in a deal.I've found that there's only so much you can learn from books - real life practical experience goes a long way.Thanks,-Shon

I have just recently moved to San Francisco, where I am finishing up my bachelor's and hoping to get immersed into the real estate market.My goal is to continue immersing myself into the world of real estate investing through mentorships and hands-on experience, while sharing on what I learn.

I've been completely immersed in books, BP podcasts, and these forums for months, and I'm now itching to connect with other investors, wholesalers, agents, and contractors.

Then immersing myself into buy and holds and then scaling to a much larger level.

Learning the business from being immersed around people on a daily basis seems to be the best policy to me. 

I am hoping that by putting myself out here and becoming more immersed in this fantastic community that I will actual follow through.  

This is my first post on BiggerPockets and I couldn't be more excited to immerse myself into the real estate investing world.

They don't address building a business, analyzing properties for profit or cash flow, or any of those topics.Indeed - none of the professions or trades can be learned in a 3-day weekend, boot camp or other "deep immersion" event.

Keeping listening to the podcasts and immersing yourself in all the knowledge and resources available here.
