I have never dealt with VA mortgages, but I would bet a lot of money that there is a clause prohibiting junior liens or deed transfers without the loan being paid off.

Also, if they did have a lien, any junior lien holder would have priority rights to the surplus funds since their lien was wiped out but the hoa’s lien was not.In any case, the hoa was not Obligated to seek the surplus from the court, as opposed to collecting from you, even if they were entitled to it.

For example if you sold a widget business in France and are now the assistant junior vice president of marketing for a fobbit business, and widgets are somehow related to fobbits, that would work.Hell, I got my first house/mortgage like 8 months into the mortgage industry, after graduating with a political science degree.

@Chris CampbellThey are owed nothing by the new buyer.....their lien got wiped out by the foreclosure of the superior lien, assuming the the junior lien was properly named/served.....this is for mtgs, judgments etc.

If there are any junior liens they properly notice and extinguish them.Can you be more specific with your question?
