I saw a YouTube video from a community activist group in Washington village that scares me off but there must be deals there that someone can work with.

I have reached out to Village Farms and am waiting to hear back. 

Down side is the village tax and the noticed they leave if your trash can is in the wrong place.

My wife and I live near there, in the Cypress Village area. 

Even if we took a decent correction, I believe these vinyl villages offering affordable housing and quality neighborhoods would demand tenants.The biggest thing to worry about in this particular county is increasing property taxes for "non homesteaders". these are what will eat us alive as they are currently doing!

Or you buy a place with an in-law apartment you can rent to tourists while you live there (in Tahoe this might work great and there are occasionally places like that).One other place to consider might the Nevada side of Tahoe in Incline Village which is awesome and then you get the benefit of no state incomes taxes!

Most of my clients look into areas like Old North, Old Town East/King Lincoln-BronzeVille, Merion Village, Driving Park, North Linden, Hungarian Village, Bexley, and North Hilltop.

Class A (680+ credit scores): most of Downtown, Midtown, maybe parts of Corktown and Bagley areas.Class B (620+): some neighborhoods near the Pointes, Harper Woods, Redford, East English Village, etc., some parts of Corktown and Bagley areas. 

Most villages won't even let you have a closet and finished space if the room doesn't have an egress window.
