It's really no different than refinishing existing flooring or repainting, replacing a broken window, or buying a new washing machine when the existing one dies.Now if you were to do something like upgrade to hardwood floors from carpet, that might be a different story. 

Would be nice to see some of them get together and create some standards to wash out the lowlifes.

2. my second Option / thought is to use my VA loan, and purchase a nicer home / one that will rent for $1,300 - $1,500 a month ( afer the 1 year O.O. rule is meet ) , and plus I can technically get in a " Future " rental for 0% down .I could find an REO/foreclosed property that needs minimal repairs ( since VA loans are quite strict on the condition of the property in order for it to qualify and get approved for a VA loan ), and then do some updates ... paint / flooring while I live in it for 1 year , and then repeat the process of doing a Cash-Out refi and use the money for a down payment of 20% down on another $80,000 - $10,000 property.... wash ,rinse,repeat3.

I washed the walls.

The house doesn't need any outside repairs except power washing siding.

Is there anyone in Chicago that will let me wash their car and cut their grass in exchange for letting me tag along and gain some know how and experience in real estate.....I am serious.

Ugh.Goals for the rest of the week include completing demo and washing all ceilings and walls to prepare to BIN the entire house, though the orange and yellow nicotine-coated drywall provides quite the seasonal glow.
