You need to be able to talk with strangers over the phone or in person to build rapport. 

Additionally, we have a decent amount invested in retirement accounts, which we plan to continue building over time.As part of the move, we’ll be purchasing a larger home.

I started by building a 12-door portfolio using the BRRRR method and self-managing initially.

So any extra pointers or tips , books, would be great guys I would love to connect and build relationships!

I found an area where I can invest in and I'm starting to build connections already so far I think my current plan makes sense.

Just want to mention that sometimes it works out better to raze an existing property down to like 2 studs and rebuild around it so that it still is classified as a remodel versus a complete new build. 

Using the VA loan to acquire a multifamily is a fantastic move, it allows you to build equity while keeping your housing costs low.
