@Davis HavensCongratulations for having the ambition and drive to start investing in real estate at such a young age.

I'd base your decision of full time real estate on 1) your current debt (student loans etc) 2) ambition - ability to "work on your own" and 3)whether you're living on your own or with your parents.

If your stated ambition wasn't as bold, or you didn't have a side business as a mastermind, there may not have been as many questions.

I realized some time ago that I would not be able to reach my financial goals with only a salary, and that setting up multiple income streams seems to be the best bet given my personality and ambitions.

Could you elaborate on your ambitions?

If you do take off for one year, though I would advise against that...as you need to keep your mind and ambitions a peak performances as good and bad times come- but that's your choice if you live on your own, I suppose. 

Young guy, lots of ambition and willingness to work hard, no money.

I am just looking for the best path to apply my ambition to.

I would like to purchase and sell 3 to 4 single-family homes to generate a decent nest egg to shift my ambitions towards the buy and hold approach of investing.
