I am sure this will lead to many interesting folks ... can I add that maybe you do  a little background on folks that you allow to do Podcasts.BP is such a strong site that some of the folks that have gotten on BP podcasts if the facts about those folks had came to light you may have chose not to put them on in the first place.. then BP investors end up kind of blindly investing with them because of irrational thought process that HEY they did a pod cast they must be golden.

I have money that is safe for my golden years - well as safe as the stock market, which is probably too big to fail as they say.I am not sure rushing out and buying a house out of fear is the right decision.

People are betting on it being the new North/South Park, but I'd suspect Golden Hill and the area Southwest of there along the 94 will improve next because of proximity to downtown and uptown areas.  

Im not looking for REI to be my golden ticket just a foundation tool.

@Wes Blackwell  the trend to buy in the sac area and the golden foothills has been going on since the late 70S early 80s when the first real run up on Bay area prices occurred and its never really slowed down.. nothing new or earth shattering.Oregon as you know gets many many CA transplanting here.. and our price structure is basically the same as where your at from Sac up to rocklin over to Eldo hills etc... although you can buy cheaper homes just north of down town than you can find anything in Portland market we simply do not have any sub 100 to 120k homes like Sac does.. we have been doing deals there and doing quite well at it.

Many from MoCo moved here and commute to MoCo for work. 10 min to the Golden Mile.
