I'm terrified to invest in LA - but after watching Flipping101 on Discovery+, our daughter and son-in-law are excited to do flips out there!

But now that its here and real its terrifying (which i totally wasn’t expecting to feel).

I think the thing I'm most terrified about is buying a multifamily and having my dog bark every few seconds at any noise because the houses in Manchester and Nashua were built in the early 1900s, so they probably won't have great sound proofing, but there are some older multi-families for rent that allow dogs, so I'm not sure.Also, another fear is that we want to move out of Manchester/Nashua within the next few years and continue to rent out the multi-family.

buying as investment or second home to "invest," requires 10-25% down payment so often times people start in their own market because owner occupied 1-4 unit programs are 0-5% down payment which is more feasible for most people unless you've been saving for a really long time and have capital to stack to go on a war rampage, in terms of investing.Best of luck.

This website is terrifying.

I have been such a failure before, lost at least a million, so Im terrified to make a move, and the time is ticking away.  

She's terrified though, and I can't seem to convince her of why this method is an excellent opportunity to enter into real estate with minimal cost compared to, say putting down 20% on a traditional mortgage for a single family home, solely for us.

It's funny, I am usually not afraid of anything, but taking the plunge terrifies me!

This is exciting and terrifying.

But, I've spoken with an STR attorney, and read numerous articles and threads on the city's website, as well as participated in STR-specific Facebook groups over the last year and a hald, and my conclusion is thus: I'm basically terrified of how Chicago treats STRs.
