Its worth the cost, helps with moisture, smell and mold.

I let the grass grow 7" long, to shade the soil and keep moisture and help prevent weeds, so I only mow once every 6-8 weeks. 

I was kind to them, gentle to them, understanding when I told them that I understood why they couldn't pay their rent, but this is a business.  

Hello,Our property located in Fort Worth,TX had a foundation repair after which it was recommended maintaining a constant level of moisture in the soil near and under the house (by placing a soaker hose on each side of the foundation no farther than 12'' from the edge of foundation to water DAILY during hot and dry months).Our property management company wrote a letter to our tenant explaining this, however I can not guarantee tenant complies. 

I am currently working on a condo where moisture got in, walls looked ok and after closing we detected mold crawling and spreading in the back of the walls 4ft high!

This kind came with the padding already attached and I just put down a moisture barrier under that. 

Any bank will normallly let you make an offer contingent on a moisture termite inspection.  

And now, four months later, after much gentle prodding, she has finally agreed to my offer.In that case, I drew a lot of confidence from the fact that someone (me) was ALREADY in a position to buy the property.

During my inspection, the inspector noted the issues mentioned in the termite and moisture report, as well as the following: - "There were signs of moisture intrusion at the subfloor/floor joist structure." - "There were one or more signs of fallen insulation in the crawlspace at the time of inspection.
