Purchasing condo - inspection necessary?

Hi all -

I'm purchasing a condo in a vacation town and plan on doing weekly and short-term rentals of the condo.  I have not purchased a condo before and not sure if it's worth the expense of doing a home inspection for a condo.  I know there is a lot of value in having an inspection done with a free-standing home/structure as this takes into account foundation, structural, etc.  Inspections for condos are going to be mostly visual inspections for water damage, checking on plumbing and water fixtures, appliances, etc as most condo associations covers the exterior, foundation, and structural issues.  Is this true and is it worth doing the inspection?

Thanks
