Record every wall, ceiling, floor, front and back of doors, shades opened and closed, window screens, yard from every angle, home exterior from every angle, mattresses (uncovered), etc.

I visited and sure enough it was...the condensation pipe was clogged and the water was overflowing and leaking through the ceiling in the back closet directly above where our furnace is located(and theirs is as well).

There's numerous issues; hole in floor and hole in wall, outdated kitchen, ceiling tile is coming off in portions, metal roof that screws need to be replaced etc...

But either I'm using the search function incorrectly or it just isn't user friendly.I'm rehabbing a small home and am considering the pro's and cons of an external package unit v. a ceiling heating unit.

b) The living room has 7 ft. ceilings--as far as I can tell, there's no way to raise them as the roof's too low.

Look for signs of moisture from above- peeling or cracking ceiling paint (or worse!)

The walls & ceiling were just as bad and you can imagine how the kitchen & bath were.

I ran down stairs to see my kitchen ceiling fan pouring down with water.

When your condo is inspected, make sure he inspects ALL common areas and all of the building itself, (ceiling, roofs, stairs, streets, etc) inside and out, because you will have to pay a portion of those repairs, too.
