Moving house on lot-- multiple questions...

A neighbor offered to give us a 2 bedroom house ("You move it, you can have it  ). It's structurally sound and we have experience with rehabs, so that part is fine. However, this whole moving-the-house business is bringing up a bunch of new issues.

a) We've found a lot close by that has a junker single-wide and a blown septic system. Anyone have experience getting rid of old trailers? Any idea what's involved and how much this would cost?

b) The living room has 7 ft. ceilings--as far as I can tell, there's no way to raise them as the roof's too low. I think it might have been an old porch at one time. Would this be a deal-breaker for you?

TIA 8)
