Chad,Two companies that I believe might write the 4 family in CA would be:1  Foremost Insurance2  American Modern InsuranceCheck their websites and you should be able to locate an agent who represents them. 

There are the underwriters like First American and then there are settlement agents (which BP folks call title companies).

Hello BiggerPockets community ,  I am a Canadian looking at starting to do some investing in American Real Estate. 

North Highland Park has plenty of big American Foursquares that make for good flip material and so the competition is hotter for those properties there and drives up market value on the smaller ones to a certain extent.

The valuation is most likely going to be Actual Cash Value (ACV) which is the depreciated value.Two companies that may consider it are Foremost and American Modern Home.
