Through personal experience I have discovered that the better my ferrets diet is (i.e. extremely high protein food such as wysong dry food, they can't digest anything other than meat) the less odorous they are. 

Lots of info. to digest and LOTS of new perspective!

BUT it didn't deter me...... we have no $$$ of our own..... we buy/hold, my husband has a great job prospect, so I had to be patient.... as our rentals build equity, as he moved up in the world...we collect our property.some we made work...forced to rent our our primary that is in boston (cash cow now)live in flip in a new construction in military town (only one that sold quickly b/c it was neutral)commercial retail shop (complete shot in the dark, cheaper than SFR, and it was $$$ and management FREE!)

If you are familiar with the term "cash cow;" and, you could find the right cash cow, you could probably leverage into a single well located property (location, location, location) with relatively low deferred maintenance, issues that would give you a very nice return in today's market.

Why buy a cow when you can get the milk free?
