Hi Davis,I live in NC but invest primarily in Greenville SC / upstate with my business partners. 

So if you are in a 30% combined tax bracket you get an additional $3K due to write offs.If it is a rental, you can write off the business expenses and the depreciation on the non land valuation. 

I invested in the 3 syndicated deals using my LLC that I have with my fiancée but don't really have any business credit to probably qualify for a loan to buy a property.

Redlining IMO would only be an issue if @Jimmy O'Connor said to stay away or refuse to do business somewhere; he did not do that, he just pointed out property characteristics.

And I'm not saying this to earn your business just as if it was a residential property.

Shaun Shaun,I am a "specialist" and currently a business owner of a design and drafting company in CT. 

His reason was the only thing he knew to do with the proceeds was to loan it back out at 12%, and he would be "behind" where he is now in cashflow.His proceeds would have given him options up to and including PE, but he is a simple man and in his case holding was the option for now.
