Not to mention the fact that my future ambitions are in commercial real estate and I got to see the site where Sherman's building a 5 story 21 unit apt bldg near the harbor in Baltimore.

Nursing is a great career but my vision and ambition is to aspire to have real estate property that works for me.I started out listening to the Bigger Pockets podcast which taught me how attainable success in real estate really is.

I have always been a firm believer that ambition/ motivation are nothing without initiative.The funny thing is that my background is in Finance/ Securities {CDs, Corporate/ Govt./ Municipal Bond} trading and I worked for a reputable firm for nearly 4 years until I realized that it wasn't a fit for my long term goals.Oddly enough, I have read several RE books, and had undergraduate courses in RE... but I am at the point that I need a little "hand- holding" to put everything together.

It's great to have a place where people of like-mind and like-ambition can interact with one another.

I have the ambition and drive (and I'm steadily earning the money), I'm just in need of the proper resources and guidance to help direct me.

And just from reading your post, it sounds like you have the ambition, aptitude, and willingness to be consistent that can make you successful at it.Good luck!

Don't have the time or the ambition to go to the Amsterdam School, my education can already get me a license if I wanted one and the hard parts (discounted cash flow etc.) are simply applications of the general theory I already know anyway.I'll jump at every networking opportunity.
