While I don’t plan on flipping the house, I intend to use the property for short-term rentals (STR), and based on my research, it seems like it will perform well either as an STR or a long-term rental (LTR).Any ideas on how I can source the financing or recommendations for better lenders would be greatly appreciated!

Rental properties come in several flavors... short term, long term, etc.  

We are based out of Long Island and invest in Milwaukee because of the L/T laws, price to rent ratio and some other metrics.Good luck on your journey. 

The big unknown is how deep the electrical and plumbing work will go.Also, with the attached 1/1 unit, I’m debating whether this could work as a long-term hold instead of a straight flip.

I have seen two cases where it went the distance and the buyers successfully sued for specific performance.

Typically you can only have one FHA loan under your name at any given time, but there isn't a limit on Conv so long as you qualify.

I know where I am going to hang my license as long as my application is accepted and am excited to become a local real estate agent.
