Wired smoke detectors are usually all interconnected, so if one smells smoke, the horns on all of them go off, but the signal that makes this happen is not standardized among manufacturers.

The sludge comming out of the lines looked like tar and smelled much worse .

If you do not get them out then don't waste your money on a fence...that will start a battle  you can not win.

However there is only 10 days or so left and I'm trying to mitigate risk and not start a legal battle if all will just be well at the 30 day mark.My question pertains to the back tenant and the deposit i already have on hand from the sellers and if i can use it to pay the back tenant deposit back.... they haven't responded yet but i asked the renter if they used their deposit for last months rent from previous owner...

@James Wise Oh man, that is horrible, I can only imagine the smell.

For me, it is a single family ranch style home with 2/3 beds and 1.5/2 baths that smells funny and needs the carpet ripped out.

It really is starting to smell like 05 when agents insisted home prices "only go up"And Russell stated a rent decline due to development, but what happens to "c"(cheaper rent) properties when "a" (new, top of market rents) vacancies increase?
